Depression and Panic Attacks

My name is Patrick. I'm from Mississauga. Recently I ran into the brother of the guy I testified against. He was charged with many charges including attempted robbery and drug possession. Yeah, he was a jerk. And he got a life sentence.

But now his brother is telling everyone I'm a rat who lied and not to deal with me. I don't know what to do now. I'm already depressed because of this.
Already called a good criminal law firm in Toronto and tried to charge him with witness harassment. But they are saying witness intimidation requires the person to act in order to keep the witness from testifying. And can't be charged with witness intimidation.
Is that true? if it's true, then what else can I do now? I'm already having panic attacks. So please help me.
