Child Abduction

Approximately 300 children are abducted each year. Of that number, 50 to 150 are usually killed. It is not necessary that they fit the stereotypical profile of a scary, creepy stranger or a dirty old man. As child abduction is on a hike, what are the precautions that must be taken in order to prevent it? Is it necessary to install home alarm systems to prevent the entry of strangers? I believe it is important to teach children how to avoid being seized, how to resist a potential captor and how to escape. Is it necessary to develop a family plan of action for emergency and crisis situation, and practice and rehearse them with the children through role modeling and role-playing? What are your views on it?
